Welcome to Moorambilla 2012! Join us in Coonamble for three fun-filled days of music and art from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 September 2012.
The 2012 Festival Program has assembled the most remarkable workshop presenters and concerts since we started 7 years ago. Visual art will take centre stage with the music as we celebrate creativity in all its forms from the region. This year begins our wonderful three year partnership with Outback Arts and their ‘Outback Archies showcase’. There will also be the ‘creative culture markets’ in the main street, where unique handmade craft and artwork will be available to purchase, as well as the usual delicious food and unique atmosphere as the music spills onto the street. Expect fairy face painting, fabulous workshops, our famous high teas, and fire sculptures as well! Not to mention the Big Band Cabaret to kick start your Friday night this year – better put on your dancing shoes!
Our concerts this year will feature not only the wonderful voices of the Moorambilla Choirs, now over 180 strong, but the sound of a symphonic orchestra strength and beauty of Continuum Sax, and of course the brilliance of Taikoz. These fantastic artists will join forces with our choir in residence, the Leichhardt Espresso Chorus and other wonderful regional ensembles to create extraordinary music in the four concerts in Coonamble, as well as a proms concert in Baradine and our final lunchtime soiree in Gulargambone.
MOORAMBILLA 2012 – expect excellence, expect artistic and musical innovation and above all expect to experience the warmth of the Coonamble welcome.
COME ON WE DARE YOU!
